Casey Life Skills Training & Certification
The Ansell-Casey Life Skills Assessment, also referred to as Casey Life Skills (CLS), is a suite of comprehensive online assessments, learning plans, and learning resources that can be utilized for free to help engage young people to the develop the life skills they need to successfully transition into adulthood. The tools are strengths-based and were built and refined with user input and research. The assessments consist of statements about life skills areas deemed critical by youth and caregivers for successful adult living. There are also additional assessment supplements designed for specific youth groups (i.e. pregnant and parenting youth) who have specific needs and challenges. Customized individual or group learning plans can be created using the assessment report to assist youth with guidance from caregivers in eight life skill areas using activities and exercises chosen from a comprehensive selection of free or low cost curricula, guides, and web based resources. The CLS tools was designed to be as free as possible from gender, ethnic, and cultural biases. It is appropriate for all youths regardless of living circumstances, whether with one/both parent(s), in foster care, in group homes, etc.
Our two levels of trainings ensure participants demonstrate a satisfactory level of competency to effective use the tools at each training level. The Certified Trainer certification ensures that trainers demonstrate the ability to use and effective teach others how to utilize the tools.

Training certification is not required to use the Casey Life Skills assessment however, many of our clients prefer and some are required to ensure that they and their staff have a level of competence in the Casey Life Skills Assessment tools to meet, grant, licensing, and/or contract requirements.
